Our Community Partners

Our community partners refer clients who they think would benefit from STE services and work with us to tailor service offerings to meet client needs. Our community partners include:

Esperanza Threads (www.esperanzathreads.org)

Esperanza Threads provides industrial sewing and job readiness training to low-income individuals with multiple barriers to employment while simultaneously operating as a revenue-generating venture to assist in funding the mission.

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (www.stlukesclevelandohio.org)

Founded in 1886 on the corner of West 78th Street and Lake Avenue in what is now the Detroit-Shoreway area of Cleveland St. Luke’s has a long history of service to the community. St. Luke’s, which has always been a church geared to children in the neighborhood, is dedicated to outreach for the local community focused on feeding, clothing and teaching.

Thea Bowman Center (www.theabowmancenter.org)

The Thea Bowman Center, which is located in the Mt. Pleasant community of southeast Cleveland, provides a broad range of services focusing on community education, health and wellness, and youth and family related issues.

Northwest Neighborhoods (www.nwneighborhoods.org)

Northwest Neighborhoods is a nonprofit provider of affordable housing and community development for Cleveland’s Cudell, Detroit Shoreway and Edgewater neighborhoods. 

El Barrio (www.thecentersohio.org)

El Barrio, the workforce development center of The Centers offers free workforce programs to anyone 18 years or older (no high school diploma required) that include short-term career training, specialized industry certifications, and job placement services with more than 100 regional and national employers.

University Settlement

The University Settlement has been serving the Broadway Slavic Village neighborhood in Cleveland since 1926.  The organization provides a broad range of programs and services focused on the community, family, youth and seniors. (www.universitysettlement.net)
